I caught them sitting on the steps. I tried to get closer for a better shot....guess what, they took off. So a cropped picture is all I got.

Your picture of the Groundhog family is kinda cute. However, these "Hogs" as they are called up here can be a real pain in the butt. Especially for the farmers in our area. They burrow holes in the farmers fields and the livestock step into the holes and sometimes break their legs, thus loosing a valuable animal for his farm.
Years ago, I used to hunt these "critters" just for the fun of it. I would give my kill to the farmer who would in turn eat them for supper! YUCK! Not for me. I don't hunt anymore, so they can do as they please.
