Cutting the copper pipe with a pipe cutter.
Assembling the antenna for a perfect fit.
Sweating the fittings together with flux, solder, and a torch.
Attaching the coax to the antenna with clamps.
Testing to see if the antenna is a good match to the Ham Radio with a SWR meter (Standing Wave Ratio).

A rather interesting Post about making an antenna. Never knew that you could make one of them using Copper Tubing. Learn something new everyday.
I've thought about getting a Ham Radio set-up a few times in the past, but it's probably a bit expensive. Guess you can sink a bunch of money into it, depending on how far you want to go. It's probably nice to talk with other people from around the world. Then getting a License is another thing.
Hey There, We are home after a week's vacation to Arkansas. This year the weather was crazy and included a ICE Storm... Gads!!!! BUT--we had a great time anyhow.
Looks like life in K-port is going well. I wondered what that antenna was going to be for. Did it work????
Have a great day/week.
Hugs,
Betsy
